Ramos Black

Ramos Black can be found over a wide range, from the Santa Maria valley to southern New Mexico and Arizona, but it is highly concentrated in the area around Paquimé. It is similar to Playas Red in forms, paste, and surface, but this type was apparently fired in a reducing atmosphere, preventing the paste from oxidizing to red.
