Mata Red-on-Brown

Mata Red-on-Brown grew out of the earlier Victoria Red-on-Brown. These both developed from the textured wares prevalent during the Viejo period. Both the plain wares and these bichromes seem related to contemporary Mogollon types, although a clear relationship has yet to be established.
