Huerigos Ploychrome

Huerigos Polychrome is identical to Carretas Polychrome, except that in addition to the red and black painted decoration, a white slip is also present. It is considered in many ways to be a slightly later variant of Carretas, and is found in the same range, to the northwest of Paquimé.

Paste: Light yellow-brown to orange
Temper: Fine sand
Surface: White slip, polished over decoration
Forms: Bowls, jars, effigies
Design: Interlocking elements in black and red in a single, wide band.
