Tusayan Black-on-Red - CA. 1050-1130

Tusayan Black-on-Red was produced in the area around the Grand Canyon north of Flagstaff. It was probably an improvement on Deadmans Black-on-Red, which consisted of narrow and wide banded elements. Hatching is new to Tusayan Black-on-Red, and to the area in general. This type would eventually lead to Tusayan Polychrome.
