Carretas Polychrome
The Carretas Polychrome in the Logan Museum Collections consists only of type sherds. Designs are similar to Babicora Polychrome, but are generally limited to a single band rather than multiple bands. The type is found primarily to the north and west of Paquimé. Huerigos Polychrome is identical, but has a white slip over some areas.
Characteristics
Paste: Light yellow-brown to orange
Temper: Fine sand
Surface: Self-slipped and polished over decoration
Forms: Bowls, jars, effigies
Design: Interlocking elements in black and red in a single, wide band.
