Near Bergerac, there are numerous cluzeaux, or man-made shelters, including one at Queyssac. Judging by the remains, these were occupied from the Neolithic through the Bronze Age.

There are two prehistoric sites at Monsac, at Vigne and at VeyriƩ, as well as a cluzeau at a place called Escandaille.
