Student Blogs

Welcome to the student blog page for the Beloit College Museum Studies Program!

The blogs provide students an opportunity to share what they learn about museums outside the classrooms and museums of Beloit College. Internships are a valuable and required component of the Museum Studies Program as they provide students an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they've gained in the classroom to real-world projects. Many students gain experience working in the Logan Museum of Anthropology and Wright Museum of Art, but it's essential that they be exposed to museums of different sizes, types, and disciplinary foci and that they have the opportunity to learn from a diverse pool of museum professionals.

You're invited to follow the inaugural Student Blog by Claire Whitmore, a junior majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Museum Studies. Claire is interning at the Minnesota Historical Society with Patricia Emerson, Head of Archaeology.
