My Account
A Belcat feature, My Account, allows borrowers to review and renew lists of checked out materials. Select My Account on the bar near the top of the Belcat screen.
-Users with a Beloit College network login
To log in, you may use your Beloit College user name and password, as for email. Enter the user name without @beloit.edu. When logging in this way, disregard the barcode line.
-Prompts for Library Barcode Number and PIN
Library barcode number: Enter the library barcode number on the back of your College ID card.
PIN: If you are logging in for the first time, select "User PIN Change", enter your library barcode number and PIN. (The default PIN is CHANGEME. For assistance, call the library circulation desk, x 2230, or reference desk, x2544.) Then enter a new PIN of your choice using a 1-10 digit combination of letters and numbers.
You will be prompted by the system to enter your barcode number and pin for each new service you select. This is a security feature designed to protect you and your borrowing information. Your browser's password manager may offer to retain this login information for you. While this is not recommended for individuals using public or shared computer workstations, you may find this to be a convenient helper for personal computers.
-If You Forget Your PIN number
If you have forgotten your PIN, please contact Anita Drake <drakea@beloit.edu> or Deb Lynch <lynchd@beloit.edu> at the circulation desk (363-2230), or Chris Nelson <nelsoncn@beloit.edu> at the reference desk (363-2544). You may be asked to provide some information to verify your request.
-Renewals
Renew early! Overdue items eventually reach an assumed lost status, usually in 40 days for books, and cannot be renewed in My Account. Sometimes materials are not eligible for renewal because they have been requested by other users, or may require staff assistance for another reason. Please call ext. 2230, email drakea@beloit.edu or nelsoncn@beloit.edu or stop by the circulation or reference desk for assistance.
