Kids Night Out is just one example of the ways the college interacts with the community at large. On one Friday night every month, parents are invited to bring their children to the Beloit College Sports Center for a night of fun and games led by members of the women's soccer and softball teams. In this video, athletes Camilla Jackson and Tess Jacquez talk about their experience with Kids Night Out and why they continue to stay involved.

Dominique Clayton, a Duffy Community Partnership Fellow and a McNair Scholar, ran a reading club that pairs elementary-school students with Beloit College volunteers. Dominique discusses how her internship at Wright Elementary combined her loves of children and psychology – a perfect experiential learning endeavor.

Ashley Lanham, a Duffy Community Partnership Summer Researcher, talks about her internship with the 4-H Clubs of Rock County. As part of the club's youth empowerment program, Ashley taught elementary students everything from citizenship to hip-hop dance, and she even found time to start a community garden with friends – proof that anything is possible during a Beloit summer.

This Duffy Summer Researcher has done everything from gardening with children to writing grants, and has connected his personal interests in sociology, environmentalism, and social justice.
