Bring your lunch to Mathers to get tips and strategies from social media expert Genia Stevens'00 for managing and enhancing your online professional reputation. Learn how to use online tools to build your online presence and to monitor and control information about you that is out on the Web.  Think beyond Facebook; expand your networks and name; and know how to troubleshoot when problems with information sharing arise!

Genia will be on campus to offer strategies and tips for managing your online reputation (including how to create the positive and handle the negative information), and marketing yourself more fully using multiple online social media tools in order to build your personal brand and your online professional presence. Future employers and graduate schools are using Google to research candidate so your online presence can be a key factor in their decision to select you for opportunities. Think beyond Facebook and LinkedIn to get yourself noticed for your professionalism on the Web!

Genia is a founding partner and instructor for Social Media Academy of Beloit and specializes in marketing and web development consulting. In addition to teaching classes to local business professionals through the Academy, she has provided marketing consulting to clients such as T.G.I.Friday's, major car dealerships, and many others. She has is a member and has presented for the Rockton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce; and is a member of several other local professional associations.
