Kat Grzeszkiewicz’20 spent a summer learning about professional sports careers by interning with the Beloit Snappers, a local minor league baseball team.

Students use the new Career Works space to collaborate and study, in addition to meeting with career advisors.

When students work together on group projects, they build their collaboration and communication skill sets.

At Beloit College, we know that a strong academic foundation and career readiness will be key to our students’ future well-being. That is why our curriculum, co-curriculum, and residential campus support learning outcomes that lead to success in careers, further studies, and life. Referred to as soft-skills in the past, today these learning outcomes are widely considered essential, no matter the focus of a student’s studies or career ambitions.

That’s why from the moment a student steps on campus, Career Works helps them navigate their pathway, from connecting with a Career Channel, to pursuing an internship, and identifying their passion and purpose. Importantly, we also help students develop and tell the story of what they can do and why, so that employers and graduate programs take notice.

The result is that Beloit College alumni discover joy, challenge, and meaning in their careers and lives beyond Beloit.
