ISR Learning Opportunities
It is the mission of the ISR Learning Committee to identify technology related learning needs on campus. The Learning Committee is responsible for planning and delivering training to meet the technology learning needs of campus.
Brown bags are 1 hour sessions held over the lunch hour during the semester. Sessions cover a wide range of topics and are intended to be an introduction to a technology or tool. Please bring your lunch and dine while you learn. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend brown bag sessions. ISR holds hands-on workshops on selected technology topics throughout the semester. Some past topics have included Photoshop Elements, ARTstor, Reason, and Moodle. Workshops are generally open to students, faculty, and staff. Moodle is the Course Managment System in use by Beloit College. A two hour Moodle workshop is offered to new faculty at the beginning of each semester. On demand training for Moodle is always available, please contact Jedidiah Rex (firstname.lastname@example.org) to set up an appointment for Moodle training.
On Demand Offerings
On demand offerings will be planned when requested by a department. ISR will work with the department to tailor training to the department's needs. A senior department representative is required at training to answer any department specific questions.
