The Instructional Technology & Multimedia Suport (ITMS) team provides multimedia equipment, services and training for classrooms and campus events and support for the Faculty Resource Room. ITMS staff is available to instruct and assist the College community in the proper use and operation of multimedia technology. ITMS provides consultation aimed at matching available spaces and technologies to your teaching needs. ITMS also provides training and limited duplication and conversion services, as copyright law allows.
We recommend that any equipment requests for weekday/daytime use be submitted at least one business day in advance to ensure that we have the equipment available, it is in working order, and we are able to arrange a delivery. We strongly recommend that any requests for after-hours or weekend use be submitted a minimum of one week in advance (preferably two), especially those requiring a technician, so that we may arrange technician schedules. While we try to accommodate all requests, we may occasionally have to turn down requests based upon equipment availability, technician availability, or legal concerns. Getting requests in early helps us to better plan and identify any potential issues with a request.
In an effort to provide improved service, we have collaborated with library staff to enable faculty, staff and students to borrow equipment using the same system that is used to check-out library resources. All equipment will be checked out and returned to the ITMS office, Mayer 227.The new system will require everyone to use their college ID when checking out any of this equipment. While the majority of the changes will be invisible to most of you, there are a few things that we would like to highlight:
- There will be no more paper checkout forms!
- You can have holds placed on available equipment.
- You will only need to sign a liability form once per academic year!
- Loan periods for many items have been increased to three days.
- We have many new items available to loan.
- Overdue fines will now be charged when equipment is not returned by the due date.
