New sidewalks ease path to temporary entrance
August 30, 2010 at 10:04 amThe bright, new concrete poured on Friday is open to pedestrian traffic. Routes to the Library's temporary north-side entrance from MI and Emerson street are open, without detours. Continue to use care when passing the construction site at the front of the Library and for your safety - and the speed of the project - please mind the caution tape marking the work zones.
Getting to the Library :: the scenic route
August 27, 2010 at 11:26 amFor those approaching the Library from the academic side of campus, please aim to pass through the center of MI and follow the construction tape around the College and Emerson street junction. Crews are actively working on the sidewalk between MI and the Library. Until the concrete is poured and set, it is best to avoid the MI tunnel path. So construction work can proceed uninterrupted, please do not cross over paths that have been blocked off by construction tape.
