Attention All Campus:
The Information Technology (IT) department is in the process of expanding the new wireless network name (SSID) called ISR2 on campus. Starting Thursday January 10th, 2013, the following areas will have access to the ISR2 network name in January: Center for the Sciences, Hendricks Center, Pearsons, Alumni/Development, the Guest House, International House, Aldrich/Mauer Lounge, northern tier of Neese Theatre, Middle College, and the Human Resources office building. Please note that ISR2 was activated in the library, the World Affairs Center and Mayer Hall during the Fall 2012 semester.
This upgrade will provide you with a more secure wireless connection as well as potentially better performance. In order to use ISR2, you will need a wireless ISR2 profile configured on your computer or device. If you would like to configure your device yourself you may go to http://www.beloit.edu/isr/it/campuscomputing/wireless/ to locate the documentation appropriate to your device. You may also feel free to bring your computer to IT in Mayer Hall for assistance. Please note that the existing wireless ISR SSID will continue to work as normal and you should continue to use that connection until you obtain a wireless ISR2 profile configuration. Over the next year IT will expand the wireless ISR2 SSID to other buildings that presently have wireless access.
If you have any questions please contact the IT Help Desk at x2067 or send an email to isrhelp@beloit.edu.
