Have you heard of Zotero (www.zotero.org)? It's a free, time-saving citation management application that's available online and on most computers in the library. Zotero can help you organize and manage bibliographic references for papers, projects, and reports by grabbing citation information from library catalogs, article databases, websites, and more with a simple click of the mouse. It can also automatically add citations within your papers in Microsoft Word and create your bibliography or works cited page for you according to dozens of common formatting standards.
ISR is offering an opportunity to help you learn how to start using Zotero today! Two informational sessions are available (both will be held in the Bibliographic Instruction Room on the lower level of the library):
- Monday, October 4 from 2:00-3:00pm
- Tuesday, October 5 from 9:00-10:00pm
All are invited! If you'd like to attend, please visit https://www.beloit.edu/scripts/signup/zotero_signup.php to sign up. RSVP soon, as only 12 spots are available at each session.
If you'd like to know more about Zotero but are unable to attend either session, please contact Josh Hickman (firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange an individual appointment.
