The Beloit College Information Services and Resources (ISR) Division provides access to information resources, supports their use, and serves as a center for engaged learning. Staff located in Mayer Hall and Col. Robert H. Morse Library and Richard Black Information Center collaborate and consult with faculty, students, and staff to provide a learning and living environment dedicated to the cultivation of liberally educated persons.
The Library provides access to the online catalog (BELCAT), a rich collection of electronic resources, and information about Beloit College Library services.
Information Technology (IT) provides technology resources and services to students, faculty, and staff. Policies related to technology purchases, the Academic Technology Fund Plan (ATF) for faculty equipment replacements and other Library and IT services can be found on the ISR Plans and Policies page.

We are writing to inform everyone about recent changes to the equipment loaning and checkout process at the Information Technology (IT) Office. In an effort to provide improved service, we have collaborated with library staff to enable faculty, staff, and students to borrow equipment using the same system that is used to check-out library resources...

On Thursday, June 30 starting at 5:30 p.m., the data network will be unavailable due to an upgrade to the college's main network switch. The downtime will last a minimum of one hour and could last several hours, depending on the issues that the staff faces. The goal is to have the network available again by 8:00 a.m. on July 1.

In order to make sure everyone on campus knows what is happening with the conversion from Datatel to Jenzabar, we have created the Jenzabar Implementation Project web page. You'll find news and information about milestones as well as the project calendar. The project status and timeline will be updated on a monthly basis so that you can see the progress that the team is making toward that end goal. Finally, there is a list of who is on the project team, so if you have any questions, you will know who to contact!

The Library catalog, BELCAT, as well as library resources made available from this web site (JSTOR, Lexis/Nexis, FindIt, WorldCat, etc.) will be unavailable on Thursday, June 30th beginning at 5:30pm while IT staff complete an important network equipment upgrade. The library will be open and all of our local, physical resources will be available for use and loan.

Contractors will begin work on Monday, June 13 to replace the building roof. The library will remain open during construction.

With the addition of a 20 year back file to Web of Science, researchers will be able to identify science and social science resources dating from 1983 to 2003.

The Beloit College Library has expanded online access to the United States Congressional Serial Set to include access through the 103rd Congress, 2nd session 1994 and a separately indexed and organized collection of geographical, geological, and informational maps from the Serial Set.

The library is excited to announce the inclusion of six diaries written by Rollin T. Chamberlin in the T.C. Chamberlin digital collection (https://www.beloit.edu/bcdc/tcchamberlin/).

Due to a routine upgrade, the FindIt@Beloit service may be temporarily unavailable on Monday, March 7. This upgrade may affect use of the FindIt@Beloit button found in library databases as well as the Find Journals search box on the library's homepage. If you require assistance locating materials while this service is unavailable, please stop by the library reference desk or call x2544.

Six-outlet surge protectors are installed on study tables throughout the library. Look for signs with a power strip graphic affixed to table tops. The power strips are affixed to the central divider on 4-seat tables and the side leg of many 2-seat tables. A few extra outlets have also been added to couch and chair seating areas on all three levels.
