The main internal source of grants for faculty development is the Professional and Program Development Committee (PPDC), which believes that by strengthening the knowledge and resources of Beloit College faculty, Beloit College as an educational institution will be strengthened. It is PPDC's purpose to assist faculty research and professional development efforts by granting funds for individual and collaborative project and travel costs. In 2013-14, PPDC members are: Daniel Barolsky (Chair Fall 2013), Linda Sturtz, Amy Tibbitts (Chair Spring 2014), and Scott Lyngaas (ex-officio).
The Office of Government and Foundation Relations, staffed by Ruth Vater (director) and Lois Grant (executive assistant) serves as a catalyst and clearing house for external funding. We've stocked this site with resources and ideas for finding external funding, tips for proposal development and guidelines for submission. We are very pleased to have to opportunity to work with you.
