Proposal Guidelines: ACM Faculty Career Enhancement (FaCE) Awards
Welcome to the Grants and Opportunities web page, where you will find background information and suggestions, as well as guidelines for proceeding with both internal and external grant-seeking.
The main internal source of grants for faculty development is the Program and Professional Development Committee (PPDC), which believes that by strengthening the knowledge and resources of Beloit College faculty, Beloit College as an educational institution will thereby be strengthened. It is PPDC's purpose to assist faculty research and professional development efforts by granting funds for individual and collaborative project and travel costs. In 2006-2007, PPDC members are: Sue Swanson, Chair, Shannon Fie, and Tamara Ketabgian. Please click on “Guidelines for Faculty Applying for Internal Grants from PPDC” for additional information.

External grants from private foundations, corporate foundations, and other organizations are channeled through the Office of External Affairs, usually through working with Lynda Graham, director of corporate and foundation relations. Government grant-seeking need not be done with coordination and help from External Affairs, although we are glad to review proposals and make suggestions if you’d like us to be involved. Please click on “Guidelines for Faculty and Staff Applying for External Grants” for general suggestions and directions.
We hope you enjoy this new web page and will find it a helpful resource to you in your individual and collaborative development efforts.
