CAREER FAIRS

One of the best methods for us to bring employers, community organizations and students together is through any one of our all-campus career fairs. We have a number of options to offer you both on and off campus. If you would like more information about any of the career fairs listed below, contact us at (608) 363-2673 or at facs@beloit.edu

Work/Force Career Fair (http://wipccc.org)
The 20 private college career centers in Wisconsin put this fair together as a collaborative effort. It is by far the largest fair we help to coordinate with anywhere from 75 to 100+ employers attending and over 1,000 students. Most employers are hiring seniors for entry-level jobs, but many are also looking for interns. It is held early each spring at Marquette University in Milwaukee. The fee for employers varies depending on company size. Students may attend for free. For further details on dates, costs, or to register online, visit the site listed above.

Internship & Volunteer Fair
This internship and volunteer career fair brings 30-50 area (Beloit, Janesville, Rockford) employers to campus to hire interns or recruit volunteers. It is a fun, informal method for students and employers/community partners to meet and discuss community opportunities. It is held each fall term.

International & Service Fair
This career fair is for non-profit or service organizations to recruit students for work opportunities. Typically, students who attend are interested in careers with organizations like the Peace Corps, Teach for America, Japan Exchange Teaching (JET) Program, and others. It is held each year in the fall term. This type of event is uniquely suited to our student population since a fair share of them seek out either short or long-term non-profit and public service careers.

Alumni Networking Fair
This is a "networking" fair and provides a chance for students to talk with alumni from a variety of fields for the purpose of career research. Alumni talk with students about their career paths, educational backgrounds, or potential openings with their employers. Our primary purpose with this fair is career exploration. It is held annually.

And More...
In addition to career fairs, we often bring employers to campus to discuss career-related subjects (individually or on panels), speak in classrooms, conduct practice interviews, or other related programs. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about any of these services.
