Last year, over 1,000 teaching jobs were posted at the event. Teachers of all disciplines are needed. New teachers who are geographically flexible continue to do very well at the event - last year over 70% of new teachers secured employment. Over 120 American international K-12 schools will be in attendance again in 2007.
The registration deadline is January 12, 2007. Registrants save $40 if registered by December 8. The first step for each interested registrant

The Baltimore City Teaching Residency (BCTR) is a competitive initiative
of the Baltimore City Public School System that recruits, selects and
trains outstanding professionals and college graduates to become teachers
in the schools that need them the most. We are looking for those
individuals interested in teaching in all subject areas, especially middle
and high school math and science. Selected candidates will become part of
the 2007 Winter Cohort, charged to raise student achievement. Following
an intensive, rigorous training institute, Residents will enter the
classroom in February while taking classes to obtain their teaching
certificate. Residents have the option to earn their Master's degree at
one of our partnering institutions. Residents receive a teacher's salary,
benefits, up to 75% subsidized tuition and more. Applications are being
