Friday, February 20th: Special Classics Guest Lecture by Christelle Fischer-Bovet (USC)

  • 4:30pm: lecture by Prof. Christelle Fischer-Bovet, "Cleopatra: An Example for Women Leaders?" in Science Center 150

Friday, March 20th: Special Classics Guest Lecture by Nandini Pandey (UW Madison)

  • 12:30-1:30: student lunch/tea with our guest
  • 4:30pm: lecture by Prof. Nandini Pandey

  • 12:30-1:30: Classics tea! Join us and your fellow fans of Classics for snacks, hot beverages, and good conversations. This event also serves as the unofficial meeting time for Classics Club and Eta Sigma Phi.

  • 2:30pm-4: students' coffee with Professor Sarah E. Bond
  • 5:30pm: lecture by Prof. Sarah E. Bond, "Brewer, Businessman, Barbarian: Cervesarii in the Western Roman Empire"

Thursday, October 16th:

  • 4pm (at UW-Madison): Dr. Richard Talbert lecture, "The Empire in Your Hand: Roman Portable Sundials"

Wednesday, October 29th (Advising Practicum):

  • 10:30-11:20: Department Fair in Commons 
  • 12pm-1:30: Information about the Rome course, information for majors 

Saturday, November 1st:

  •  Art Institute of Chicago trip (free for Classics majors)
