Resumes and Cover Letters
Most of you know it's much easier to update your resume than it is to start one from scratch. That's why we strongly encourage students to put one together their FIRST YEAR on campus. It will help you to keep a record of your accomplishments and save you the hassle of trying to remember dates and duties years after you've left a job or internship. It can also be a great tool to help you plan ahead; to know what you still need to accomplish to be a competitive candidate in your field by graduation. It's never to late to get started....
We've put together a complete "how to" guide on writing resumes and cover letters that includes a step by step approach to putting it all together: what to include in each section, what to leave out, an action verb list, tracking form, related links on the web, books in our library, and some great samples to give you a quick start.
