MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Office of Career Services to empower Beloit College students to maximize their liberal arts experience and education for successful lifelong career growth and development, while addressing their diverse interests and backgrounds.
Overall Goals
To accomplish our mission, we seek to:
- Promote and support the Liberal Arts in Practice.
- Accommodate the unique needs and interests of the diverse Beloit College student population.
- Assist students with obtaining occupational information.
- Guide students with self assessment and formulating personally meaningful career plans.
- Help students realize and appreciate the importance of experiential learning.
- Expose students to a full range of career opportunities including internships, employment, volunteer service work, externships and graduate/continuing education.
- Prepare students to articulate their liberal arts education effectively to secure opportunities.
- Utilize current resources and technology to deliver services and provide students with tools for effective decision making.
- Build and maintain alumni relationships and engage alumni to support students’ career development needs.
- Facilitate collaboration among campus departments, community partners, and other colleges to raise awareness about the importance and role of students’ career development.
