Job posting: director of accounting and budget manager

Beloit College invites applications for a full-time director of accounting and budget manager position. The director will provide budgetary and financial guidance to senior-level staff and play a key role in the communication, creation, and management of accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and functional responsibilities of the office. The position reports to the vice president for administration and supervises five support staff who are responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, and cashiering, and works closely with student financial services.  

Responsibilities include oversight and direction of the activities and operation of the college’s fiscal management services, including budgeting, development of policies and procedures, and analysis, technical expertise and guidance related to financial matters. The recent implementation of new financial and budgeting software will require flexibility and the ability to assess the need for and lead change. For a complete job description visit:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, CPA and five to seven years of experience with non-profit fund accounting or audit experience, with a broad base of accounting and tax knowledge, including previous management responsibility. Strong oral, written, analytical and organizational communications skills, computer literacy, and a commitment to the liberal arts and learning in an intercultural environment expected. Experience with Jenzabar enterprise software a plus.
