Summer Fields featured in Education Week

Beloit College’s program for rising high school juniors and seniors, Summer Fields, was featured in an Education Week article published Tuesday.

In “Summer Activities Build Resumes for College,” Director of Summer Programs Alisa Pykett say's Beloit’s Summer Fields give students a jump start on college because its smaller class sizes allow students to work in a professional field, take excursions and get to know professors.

"For some, it helps them make a more informed decision about the type of experience they want in college—a bigger university or a smaller college," Pykett told the publication.

This year, 30 to 35 students – some coming as far as California and Georgia – will participate in Summer Fields, which runs from July 8-27. Students may still apply by visiting the Summer Fields website.
