In the annual Keefer and Keefer lecture by English Professor and Keefer Professor of Humanities Tom McBride, he’ll explore the anthropology of sex in classic works by William Shakespeare.
The final such lecture before McBride’s retirement will be taking place tonight at 7 p.m. in Richardson Auditorium of Morse-Ingersoll Hall, when he delivers “SEX-speare: Shakespeare’s Anthology of Sex.”
The Keefer and Keefer lecture is a campus-wide lecture given once each semester by the Gayle and William Keefer Professor of the Humanities.
"Some notions about sexuality found in Shakespeare are so unusual that if whole societies adopted these ideas, anthropologists would rush to study them," McBride says. Hear what this Beloit legend has to say about it, tonight.
