If you’re looking for an exercise outlet to counteract the amount of candy you’ll be consuming for Halloween, the college’s Wellness Committee has a suggestion: join Blackhawk Technical College’s Student Network of Activities and Programming and the Rock County Zombie Association for an evening of goodies and gore as they host a Zombie Fun Walk/Run this Friday (Oct. 25) at Blackhawk Technical College, located between Beloit and Janesville on U.S. Highway 51.
Runners will try to escape the dangers of a zombie apocalypse by avoiding “zombies” along the course, who will try to steal participants’ flags. Each lap runners last will earn them a raffle ticket and increase their chances of survival--or in this case, your chances of winning some cool prizes. Don’t be too nervous, the only thing scary about this course are the zombies. Enjoy some gross and gory games on the way as well, hosted by some of BTC’s club members. Feel free to dress like the dead, but make sure to dress for the weather as half the course is outdoors.
