In a statement, Stickelmaier said: "I have a deep commitment to residential liberal arts colleges, and I am looking forward to joining the Beloit community and working together to help further strengthen and advance this wonderful college."

In an announcement to the campus community President Scott Bierman called Stickelmaier “an energetic, practiced and engaged leader and planner who has the expertise, vision and creativity to help Beloit achieve its ambitions, advance its mission and best support its people, programs and physical spaces.”

Stickelmaier earned a bachelor’s degree in management and accounting from the University of Illinois, a CPA certification from the State of Illinois and a master’s degree in accountancy from Bradley University.
