The college's board of trustees will be convening for their annual spring meeting later this week, and they sure will be busy. Board members arriving early Thursday evening will be dining with faculty leaders before resting up for Friday's day-long committee and full board meetings. Those meetings will end Friday in time for the Underkofler/Kang awards program at 4 p.m. The board will then be up and at work early Saturday, reconvening to finalize board business before heading down to Strong Stadium for the second day of action at the Beloit Relays. Later that evening, several members of the board will also be in attendance for Ferrall Artist in Residence Tony Scodwell’s performance in Eaton Chapel.
President Scott Bierman outlined some of the board's agenda items during his Conversation with the President talk a few weeks back. Among the items of business he mentioned: approving the college's 2013-14 budget, getting updates on the powerplant project and the outcome of the Phoenix building discussions, as well as other updates from senior staff on ongoing projects across campus.
The booklet for the board’s spring meeting is available here; you must login with your Beloit username and password to access it.
