Faculty, staff: use break to InvigorATE with the Wellness Committee

February 27, 2013 at 10:45 pm

As campus quiets next week, the college’s Wellness Committee encourages faculty and staff to take advantage of their five-day InvigorATE program offerings. Organizers say the planned activities are designed to activate, tantalize, and energize you.

“We encourage everyone to take advantage of what is offered,” says Lori Rhead, director of human resources. “Based on feedback from last spring, we are offering the 10-minute chair massages for $5. The cost (normally $10) is being shared by the Wellness and Staff Matters committees.”

Besides opportunities for relaxation and exercise, the events include healthy-cooking demonstrations courtesy of Bon Appetit.

“We're trying to put the 'break' in break week,” Rhead says. “Take a breath, reconnect and get fit.”
