The Beloit College Library is pleased to announce the arrival of a mobile app for the library catalog, BELCAT, enabling quick catalog look-up and easy renewal for materials borrowed from our local collection.
Using a mobile device to conduct extensive research may not be common (or convenient, yet) but looking for a specific item or checking on a known citation is simplified by these new tools.
Visit the new Mobile Apps page on the library website for quick access to app downloads and links to mobile-friendly sites. Some applications have enhanced features allowing you to collect and store ebooks, favorite searches, and citation lists. The new BookMyne app, developed by our library system vendor, supports catalog look-up and for Apple/iOS users, access to MyAccount for review and renewal of borrowed materials. The app also includes customizable settings for upcoming due date notifications.
The Mobile Apps page will be updated as new tools to access library databases, resources, and catalogs are released and as tools expand to new platforms. The BookMyne app is fully developed for Apple/iOS users. Full functionality for the Android platform is still under development.
