It’s good to be home. Just ask the Buccaneer track and field team (pictured above), who will be hosting their first home track meet in 15 years this Saturday.
(Terry Owens wrote about the last home meet back in 1997 in this week’s Inside Buccaneer Sports.)
“This is enormously exciting for us all and marks the return of track and field to the campus,” says Athletic Director Peggy Carl. “This spring's meet is the tune-up for the return next spring of the famous Beloit Relays.”
If any faculty or staff members are interested in volunteering to help with the track meet, contact Carl at firstname.lastname@example.org, as soon as possible.
If you’d like to cheer on the Buccaneer track and field team, the Beloit Open is set to start at about 11:30 a.m. at the Strong Stadium complex.
