Lev Anderson’98 is screening Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone tonight and tomorrow at the Beloit International Film Festival. Described as “an inspirational, happy film about failure” by Variety, the documentary follows the rise, fall (on the brink of “making it”) and music of the band Fishbone. Laurence Fishburne narrates the film, which features interviews with the likes of Ice T, Gwen Stefani, Tim Robbins, Questlove, George Clinton, Gogol Bordello, Perry Farrell, and Flea.
“I am excited to bring the film to Beloit,” says Anderson, who co-directed the film and will be at the festival this weekend. “I am pretty confident students and faculty that can attend will enjoy the film—you don't have to have any idea of who Fishbone is to be entertained by the story.”
The documentary will screen at 10 p.m. tonight (Friday) at Beloit Public Library, and at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday) at the Hendricks Center.
