You may have seen me: Walking solemnly around campus, taking selfies in the library, going to/from Kappa Delta.
So, what is your major and what has been your favorite class that you've taken so far? I am an ecology, evolution, and behavioral biology major. So far my favorite class that I've taken has been Zoology. First off, Ken Yasukawa is a great professor and the class is a ton of fun, and really interesting. We worked our way through all the major phylums and dissected something almost every class period. We also took a field trip at the crack of dawn to observe Redwing Blackbirds at Newark Prairie Road which was great because we were able to get some fieldwork experience. And I did research on squirrels—how fun is that.
What are a few of your favorite things? Cats, horoscopes, napping, the internet, the internet when it's fast, snacking in the library, the apple dippers from last year.
Favorite meal? A side order of Spanish rice from La Casa Grande with salsa with pepperoncinis. Yum.
What gets you up in the morning? The promise of a nap after my 8 a.m.
What’s your favorite hidden gem here in the area? The best kept secret of the Beloit area is the dollar store next to the McDonald's right over the border in Illinois. They have cheap candy and soda and snacks which everyone needs, and their Christmas decorations are the best in the area. Plus all the Christmas limited-edition Febreezes are only like $2. And who doesn't want their room to smell like evergreen?
