Ex Fabula is a Milwaukee nonprofit that is committed to strengthening community bonds through the art of storytelling. We celebrate the power of true and personal stories to connect individuals through universal experiences.

In this hands-on workshop, the Ex Fabula’s Executive Director Megan McGee will guide participants through exercises on the following topics:

- Finding your story: Why storytelling is important and powerful, and how to select a story to share.

- Crafting your story: How to structure your story for maximum impact and so you can share it in 3 to 5 minutes without any notes.

- Practicing your story: How to workshop your story before you take the stage.

After the one hour workshop, participants will have the chance to share the stories they’ve workshopped on, in a Story Slam. Come to tell a story, or just to listen; either way, be prepared to be inspired by true, personal stories.
