Living With Uncertainty in a Secular World: A Conversation With Novelist Robert Hellenga

What experiences make life meaningful? High on the list for novelist  and Knox College professor Robert Hellenga are: teaching a good class, finishing a novel, sex, getting married, having children, cooking dinner, playing the guitar. In other words, the usual.

What's on your list?

You are invited to share your ideas in a conversation with Dr. Hellenga about the challenges and benefits of living with uncertainty in a secular world. The award-winning writer will also read from and sign copies of his latest work, The Confessions of Frances Godwin, the fictional memoir of a retired high school Latin teacher looking back on a life of trying to do her best amidst her many transgressions.

This event is free and open to the campus and Beloit community, especially those among us who find themselves leaning into the mystery that change brings.
