The Caribbean Initiative in conjunction with Beloit College Departments of Anthropology, History, and Political Science and the Office of International Education are pleased to invite you to an event featuring L. Kaifa Roland, a cultural anthropologist at the University of Colorado, Boulder, whose research looks at shifting intersections of race, class, sexuality, and belonging in the Caribbean and African Diaspora.

Author of Cuban Color in Tourism and La Lucha (Oxford University Press 2011), Kaifa Roland is also an innovative teacher, employing "photos, videos, music, dance, and movement” into her classes. Additional information on Dr. Roland can be found at: http://profmama.wordpress.com/main-page/.
