Tuition Runs Out Day represents the approximate point in the spring semester that student money stops paying for college operations and support from alumni, grants, and other donors becomes necessary to cover the rest of the budget. It is the culmination of a campus-wide awareness week educating students about the importance of alumni philanthropy in supporting the Beloit College budget, the importance of the alumni participation rate, and the role of student philanthropy as the beginning of lifelong support for Beloit College. Preceded by informational fliers, articles, and a mail piece, Tuition Runs Out Day will feature student informational tabling and students signing postcards to thank alumni for their contributions.
