Georgia Duerst-Lahti will lead an information session on "Fair, Green, Organic, and Natural: Social Responsibility and the New Conscious Consumer" (POLS 209/IDST 210).
"Fair, Green, Organic, and Natural:" Fair trade, green environmentalism, the organic movement, and natural products generally are "so Beloit." What's driving corporations to be more responsible? How can and do consumers push them with their buying power? This course analyzes these trends and the forces driving them, through a blend of in-class teamwork and off-campus practicums including an overnight field trip and other day trips.
Sub sandwiches will be served if you RSVP to Georgia Duerst-Lahti. See www.beloit.edu/summerblock for more information.
This event is free and open to students.
