Beloit graduate, Paul Fishstein'77, Visiting Fellow, Tufts University Feinstein International Center will give the annual Ivan and Janice Stone lecture titled "Simple Narratives from the Land of the Fiercely Independent Tribesmen (who inhabit a country the size of Texas)." Fishstein's lecture will focus on how public discourse limited the ability of the U.S. to help Afghanistan become a more functional and prosperous country. A graduate of Beloit College in English, Fishstein received a M.Sc. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Maryland College Park.
