Beloit College’s department of education and youth studies presents the 2012 Excellence in Teaching Symposium, an annual event that addresses topics in education and honors exemplary educators. This year’s keynote address is titled "Educating Youth for a 'Progressive' Society: What Did Jane Addams Think Education Should --Could Do?," by Victoria Bissell Brown, professor of History at Grinnell College.  
A Q & A session will follow the keynote lecture.
