This multi-media solo reading depicts the connection between September 11th in the United States and in the Egyptian Revolution, highlighting the events as catalysts in the change the world is experiencing in the 21 Century. Shown through the experiences of an Egyptian woman living in New York, the performance illuminates the changing identity of Arabs in the past decade.
Dr. Dalia Basiouny is the founder of Sabeel Group, which focuses on promoting women's work, researching ways of integrating theatre and video to create non-traditional plays, and perform them in alternative spaces.
Seating is limited. This event is free and open to the campus and community.
