Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr. will give a public lecture on the Beloit College campus titled "Martin Luther King, Jr. and the 'N' word. 

This event is free and open to the campus and community.

Biography

Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr. has pursued and achieved success in the world of academia, business, diversity, leadership and community service. In 1996, he started America & MOORE, LLC in order to provide more comprehensive diversity, privilege and leadership trainings/workshops. Eddie received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa (May 2004). He’s the founder/program director for the white privilege conference (http://www.whiteprivilegeconference.com/). He serves as the Director of Diversity at Brooklyn Friends School in Brooklyn, NY (http://www.brooklynfriends.org/). Eddie is a engaging, dynamic and approachable consultant and public speaker. Eddie has presented at national/international conferences focusing on a variety of issues related to diversity, youth, community, education, cultural competency, leadership, white privilege and oppression.
