Joaquin Luna, Gustavo Rezende,and Yanelli Hernandez, all youths caught in the ever intensifying immigration debate. Their "unauthorized" existence in this country forced them to face multiple barriers and various forms of discrimination leading to their suicides and failed attempts. This panel discussion intends to honor the lives of these youths as well as inform the general community about the psychological detriments undocumented youths face on a daily basis. The panelists will consist of Professor Greg Buchanan, ELL Program Manager Rosamaria Laursen, and an advocate from the Immigrant Youth Justice League.Panelists will introduce their knowledge on the topic of mental health in the undocumented community as well as any personal experiences. Following this, the audience will be given the opportunity to ask the panelists questions.
