The Prayerbooking Exhibit and Celebration

Date: Saturday, December 4th, 2010

Time: 4:00 pm

Duration: 2 hours

Location: Courtyard, Wright Museum of Art

Contact: Bill Conover, Spiritual Life Program

Prayerbooking is a student-run interfaith prayer group whose goal is to answer the question "what is prayer". Through weekly prompts for journaling and art making, each participant in the workshop produces his/her own prayerbook comprised of a combination of original writing, excerpts of literature, scripture, poetry, music and drawing. These collage books serve as a time capsule for each student to look back on to preserve the spiritual landscape of the college years. This exhibit reflects two semesters worth of work of a core group of workshop participants and their unique process and product.

This event is free and open to Beloit College students only.
