"Understanding Police and Expert Performance: The Effect of Training on Stereotypic Bias in the Decision to Shoot," a public lecture

Jessica Sims, researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of Chicago will present a lecture titled "Understanding Police and Expert Performance: The Effect of Training on Stereotypic Bias in the Decision to Shoot."  This 45-minute lecture will appeal to those with interest in applied psychology, social psychology, perceptual biases, law enforcement, legal studies and criminology. A question and answer session will follow the lecture.
