Please join Beloit College's History department for a public lecture titled "More Than Freedom:  Black Northerners and the Meaning of the Civil War,"  by Stephen Kantrowitz, University of Wisconsin-Madison and the second  lecture in the series, "History of the Civil War," to honor the 150th anniversary of the U.S. Civil War.

The lecture series "History of the Civil War," is sponsored by the Beloit College department of History who will host three speakers from the Organization of American Distinguished Lectureship Program 

A speakers bureau dedicated to American history, the OAH Distinguished Lectureship Program is a dynamic, reliable, and easy-to-use resource for identifying and contacting leading historians who can share their expertise with your audience.

This lecture series is free and open to the campus and community.
