Please join Beloit College and The Wright Museum of Art for a public lecture titled "The Art of Henrik Martin Mayer: A Perspective of his Times," by guest scholar Francis Pugh who will give his insight of the work and of Mayer's career and influences. Along with this public lecture will be an unveiling of the recently conserved painting by Henrik Martin Mayer titled Picnic on the Allegheny, 1937.
The Wanda Hollensteiner Lecture Series brings a prominent scholar to the Wright Museum of Art each year to deliver a lecture on a recently conserved artwork from the museum's permanent collection.
This event is free and open to the campus and community.
