Date: Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

Time: 7:00 pm

Location: Richardson Auditorium, Morse-Ingersoll Hall

Contact: buchnang, Mortar Board

Susan Rice will kick off the first lecture in a series of lectures on leadership, scholarship and service.

The purpose of the Mortar Board honors society is to promote leadership, scholarship and service. The members of Mortar Board believe that people with more life experience have something to offer. Their personal experiences can give younger people inspiration to become effective leaders. Professors’ insights can give students context for why their studies really matter and lastly, leaders in service inspire the motivation to get involved in the wider community. Knowing this, Mortar board has asked six professors to share from their personal experience and lecture on these three aforementioned values. It is our hope that as a result, students gain new perspectives and feel more motivated and inspired in these three areas of their lives.

This event is free and open to the campus and community.
